There has been a major signal shift coming from the White House and Trump's latest "truths" and "tweets" leaning favorably towards a cut and run from the Middle East without admitting defeat. Because this issue begs for more clarity - and because college basketball in March takes precedence over everything - a fuller picture should emerge by Monday morning. Another bummer week for stocks:

Major averages were all down close to two percent on the week. Not a coincidence. As cynical as commentary on the stock market has become, there's little surprise that stocks stopped out just short of a -10% decline.
